The main topic for August is anime movies. These range from the works of Hayao Miyazaki like "Spirited Away" about a girl trapped in a fairy tale bath house to Katsuhiro Otomo's "Akira" about a future Japan ravaged by war to Mamoru Oshii's "Ghost in the Shell" which deals with the issue "what is it that makes us human?"
