Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library and ServiceOntario are helping to make it easier for Lambton County residents to access Ontario government information and services.
“Our libraries are a great source of information for people in Lambton County,” said Government Services Minister Gerry Phillips. “People told us that they expect government services to be more convenient and easier to access – and we’ve listened.”
Some of the online services available through www.ServiceOntario.ca at Libraries allow you to:
- apply for a Birth certificate - which is guaranteed to be delivered within 15 business days,
- renew your vehicle registration,
- apply for a Marriage certificate - which is guaranteed to be mailed within 15 business days,
- register the name of a business,
- apply for a Death certificate - which is guaranteed to be mailed within 15 business days,
- complete forms to apply for a master business license - which are guaranteed to be sent electronically within 2 business days,
- book a road test,
- reserve a campsite at provincial parks,
- change the address for your health card, driver's license and outdoors card - all in one step,
- renew your outdoors card and,
- find information and forms on a wide range of other government services
“Service Ontario is being implemented across the province as a way to ensure that government is responding well to the needs of Ontarians,” said Caroline Di Cocco, MPP for Sarnia Lambton. “It is part of our commitment to ensure that customer service is forefront when those in our community apply for a birth certificate, apply for a student loan, or seek out other government services.”

ServiceOntario is partnering with about 400 public and First Nation libraries and Band Offices in rural, remote and urban communities to improve access to government services and information through ServiceOntario's website at www.serviceontario.ca. Library/Band Office staff can help patrons navigate the ServiceOntario website to find the information and services they need.
