Lambton County Library patrons will now be able to place reserves on “on order” materials through the library catalogue at www.lclmg.org. This feature is one of two catalogue services being launched during Ontario Public Library Week, October 15 to 21st.
In addition, the “Alerting services” feature will be available. This service notifies users of items “on order” that are of specific interest to them. By creating a query in the “Alerting services” function, patrons will be notified by email that specific items of interest, such as by author or subject, are now on order for the library. A link connecting to a full record on the library catalogue will also appear in the email. A patron can place a reserve from this web page. The restriction on the number of holds per person is twenty.
“Alerting services” can be accessed through “user activities” by entering your library barcode and password. If you have forgotten your password, follow the directions to have it emailed to you, or simply contact the library to register your email address and obtain your password.
For additional information or assistance in creating a query or our other services, contact or visit your local branch library.
The Lambton County Library catalogue allows patrons to view over 850,000 items including books, magazines, video-cassettes, DVDs, CDs as well as access account information. Collections from Gallery Lambton, the Lambton Room archives, the Lambton Heritage Museum and the Oil Museum of Canada, are also available at the www.lclmg.org website.
