Sarnia, ON – A computer and a passion for writing enabled young Katharine Gasbarini to soar towards her dreams and escape her severely disabled body. “Dreams – Poems, Stories and A Little Bit More” is a collection of her works compiled by her mother and friends after her death in 1999. The book will be presented at the Mallroad Library on Monday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m., by Katharine’s mother, Claudette Gasbarini.
Gasbarini was an avid user of the Mallroad Library; however, her disabilities often kept her housebound and unable to attend school. In 1994, at the age of 11, she received a computer from the Sunshine Foundation. This acquisition dramatically altered her life providing her with a voice for expression.
