Lambton County Library Calendar of Events for October 2010

Lambton County Library Calendar of Events for October 2010

Wyoming, ON – Library Headquarters will be having a used book fair on Saturday, October 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.   With a small donation, books, encyclopedias and other items are available for purchase.  A donation of $.50 cents per children's book and $1.00 per adult book is suggested.  Proceeds from the book fair are used to enhance the library system.  For more information, please call 519 845-3324.   Library Headquarters is located on 787 Broadway St., Wyoming, behind Lambton County's Administration Building.

Don't miss Red Green at the Sarnia Library Theatre on Wednesday, October 27, at 7:30 p.m.  Red Green will be doing a reading of his new book "How To Do Everything From The Man Who Should Know" as well as a book signing.  Tickets for this Showcase Literacy event are $25.00 each and are available at The Book Keeper and Organization For Literacy.

Students can get top marks this year by using authoritative online resources for their homework.   CultureGrams is an online electronic database designed specifically for research and is FREE through Lambton County Library's website.    See the world’s people as they really live with local perspectives on daily life, history and culture.  Resources also include a photo gallery, video clips, recipe collection, graphs, tables and more.   Access CultureGrams at www.lclmg.org through the Electronic Database page.  A library card barcode is needed.

Please PRE-REGISTER for all programs except those specified as a “DROP-IN” by contacting the individual library. Preschool programs requiring registration are currently underway; however, some branches offer the programs as DROP-INs and welcome all new participants.

Our programs are FREE unless otherwise noted. Visit www.lclmg.org for further details.  If you live outside of Wyoming’s local calling area, contact us at our TOLL-FREE number, 1-866-324-6912, with your questions or concerns.

All Lambton County Library branches are closed on Sunday, October 10 and Monday, October 11.
