Wyoming, ON – Recycle your
household batteries @ your library. Lambton County Library branches are now FREE collection
sites for the Call2Recycle® Program.
All household batteries up to 5 kg, including alkalines, carbon zinc and
button cells, will be collected. Used cell phones, with or without a battery,
can also be recycled.
"Lambton
County's 26 branch libraries are already part of your neighbourhood," says
Carol Gardiner, Branch Services Manager.
"Having accessible collection sites encourages greater
participation in this recycling program and less waste in our landfills."
Since 1997,
Call2Recycle® has been collecting used rechargeable batteries from
Ontarians through collection sides. As
of July 1st, Call2Recycle® is Stewardship Ontario’s official service
provider for collecting and recycling all household batteries up to 5 kg.
