Reptiles at Risk Showing at Local Libraries 2011

Wyoming, ON – Did you know that reptiles are the most "at risk" class of wildlife in Canada?  Children and adults are invited to become acquainted with these creatures and to learn how their habitats are being threatened.   Reptiles at Risk will be at two local libraries on Monday, August 8, 2011.  Admission is free for this event.

 

  • 10:00 a.m. Forest Library, located at 61 King St. West, Forest
  • 2:00 p.m. Sarnia Library Theatre, located at 124 Christina St. South, Sarnia

 

Bringing with them live snakes and frogs and more, Reptiles at Risk on the Road is a travelling exhibit that educates the public with an interactive hands-on program. 

 

The program is presented by Scales Nature Park, in partnership with Sciensational Sssnakes!!, Laurentian University and the Canadian Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Network. Assistance for this project was provided by the Government of Ontario.
