Lambton County Library Calendar of Events for September 2011

Wyoming, ON –  Get good grades this year with the help of Lambton County Library and Homework Help e-Resources.   Many online research and reference databases are available for all levels of education at the library's website at www.lclmg.org.   Included are Britannica Online Culture Grams, A to Z World Culture, World History in Context, Grzimek's Animal Life, Today's Science, just to list a few.

Students of all ages, including post secondary, can utilize askON a real-time online chat information service that offers immediate, interactive, and knowledgeable research and reference help.

Or visit your local library to access print resources including information books, dictionaries, almanacs, encyclopedias and fact based DVDs.

A library card is needed to access all online resources and to borrow resource materials from your library.  Get your library card today by bringing your identification to any branch library with your name and current address.  Children in grade 8 or under require the signature of a parent or guardian.

New preschool sessions begin the week of September 6 at most Lambton libraries.  Tales for Tots is a  thirty-minute program designed for children ages one and two and their caregivers. Story Hour is a one-hour program for the three to five year old. Included are songs, stories, fingerplays, activities, and crafts developed to stimulate and create an early interest in reading. Sessions are generally six-weeks in length.  French Story Hour is also offered at the Alvinston, Corunna, Petrolia and Sarnia libraries.  Please contact these libraries for more information.

Please pre-register for all programs except those specified as a “drop-in” by contacting the individual library. Our programs are free unless otherwise noted. Visit www.lclmg.org for further details.
