While this database is designed to serve the research needs of military personnel, it does includes some basic reference materials that are updated annually: The Columbia Electronic Encyclopedia and The World Almanac and Book of Facts. With more than 500 titles and more than 7 million articles (80% full-text), searchers are sure to find answers to their reference questions.

How to Use the Electronic Databases
How to Use  | Basic Search  | Advanced Search  | Publication Search  | Subject Search  | Tips | 
  1. Browse the list of categories at the top of the Electronic Databases box located below.
  2. Click on a category to view the list of databases available. 
  3. Click on the database you wish to search.
  4. For remote access, type your 14-digit library card number.  Note:  You may be required to enter a username and password.
  5. For InfoTrac databases, a complete list appears.  Select the database of your choice.
  6. Refer to Search Tips for assistance on searching the databases.
    • Basic Search - multiple topics or single topics
    • Advanced Search - for finding something specific, such as an article title or author name
    • Subject Guide - authoritative results for single topics
    • Publication Search - to find a particular source
    • Tips - tips for searching
  7. Information from the databases may be printed or sent by email.
  8. Online help is available for each of these databases. 
  9. Contact your local library for further assistance if needed.
