John Henry Fairbank



John Fairbank was one of the most famous of the oil barons in the Petrolia area. He arrived in Lambton County in 1858 as a surveyor, and caught the oil rush fever. He went to London, Ontario and purchased a plot of land in Lambton County. John becamed involved in many business ventures over the years. His great-grandson still operates one of these businesses today.
